Where are we left?

i know that it's normal for girls to date men that are much older than them, let's say about 8-20 years gap.i know it's not a new thing as this happens way back since my mom's era. i can understand why girls in their early 20s are attracted in older men. i really do.lately however, people close to me or a friend's friend seem to be dating older men. i mean...it's not a shocking news, but the fact that it's happening within friends who are in close vicinity with me made it even more real.

when i say i understand such attraction is because i found myself sometimes also attracted to elder men. somehow men in their mid-30s now are more reliable.they are no longer flighty nor they only think about sex when they see ladies.they are financially stable and are able to think more rationaly. they use their brain to think, rather than "go with the flow".gone were the days where they only hang out in clubs/pubs/sports bar and doing the "guy thing".

all of those traits are what girls generally look for in a relationship.we need stability and reliability. but of course that doesn't mean that we wanted a dull relationship.

men in their mid-30s had most likely gone through some relationships, whether good or bad, this help to shape them hence they are able to understand us girls better. by them understanding our needs, they know how to pleased us and fulfil our needs and wants.

despite all those advantages, i can't help thinking that there is this one major drawback. since the age gap is quite huge, girls in their early 20s would seem to be skipping out part of their youth. thriving to match their other half, they tried to act, think, dressed up more maturely. forwarding the years that should be enjoyed with the proper pace.

it's NOT that i've anything against such relationships...(so friends reading this, i'm totally OK with your relationship) since i myself understood such attraction (though i've never experience such relationships)...it's just my thoughts. thinking, does only girls have such problems? whilst most guys our age are just way too unreliable yet there are drawbacks with elder men.... then, where are we left now?
